CLASSIC DUTCH BUILT OFFSHORE SLOOP. HAS TAKENOWNER ALL AROUND THE WORLD.
LUTANA II is a beautifully designed Amuthan 35,36ft sloop with a round bilge steel hull, designed by Dick Carter for the Dutch ship builders KOK of Muiden. The design was influenced by North Sea fishing boats and was intended for the 1964 OSTAR race. It has proved to be a wonderful sea boat with an impressive turn of speed off the wind. Examples of this class of 35 boats have successfully and safely cruised the world with shorthanded and family crews. The design incorporates a steel hull and ply deck, which in Lutana's case has been professionally changed to a steel deck.
